After abandoning the quartet format for a decade, saxophonist Binker Golding is once again the center of a quartet formation. After successful projects like Binker & Moses (with drummer Moses Boyd) and collaborations with pianist Elliot Galvin, Golding now settles for a jazzier sound. His new quartet with Sarah Tandy (piano), Dan Casimir (bass), and Sam Jones (drums) has the clear, hard-hitting jazz sound of the 80s and early 90s, brought up to date by influences from today's world of soul music.
