British drama set in Victorian London. This series brings together some of Charles Dickens' most-loved and iconic characters including Ebenezer Scrooge, Amelia Havisham, Fagin and Inspector Bucket from such classic works as A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist and Bleak House. Dickensian finds these famous literary protagonists and antagonists living in the same neighbourhood where their lives and stories get intermingled. Inspector Bucket investigates the murder of a local businessman. Amelia Havisham considers the proposal of marriage; whilst Fagin, Bill Sykes and the Artful Dodger are involved in some seemingly unscrupulous activities.
