Murdoch Mysteries is a fine example of canadian detective series. The main character is William Murdoch, a talented police detective working in Toronto, Ontario in the late 19th century. He uses methods of forensic science to solve the mysterious murder cases and these methods are ahead of his time. His motto is "Nothing is impossible" and his confidence and determination help him to cope with the most complicated tasks that are beyond the scope of other detectives. William is not alone in his investigations, his superior, inspector Brackenreid, Doctor Julia Ogden, expert skilled in pathology and the inexperienced but enthusiastic assistant Constable George Crabtree are by his side. Sometimes real historical figures appear in the series, such as Jack London, William Churchill, Nikola Tesla etc. Director: Yannick Bisson.
