Chilema is an Elephant with half a trunk; losing the tip to a poacher's snare. It was intended to catch antelope for bushmeat. But the snare's indiscriminate nature means other animals often fall foul of them, with devastating results. Chilema is now having to adapt to life without an elephants most important appendage. She must learn how to eat, drink and also take a mud bath to ensure her survival. With the added challenge of the harsh dry season, Chilema is fighting against the odds to survive.
