Reality

Second episode of a two-part story. Doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif do a lot of good, repairing plastic surgeries gone bad. While their work is usually to fix superficial issues, the importance of this to patients' mental wellbeing should not be underestimated. Still, it's rare that they find themselves in life-and-death situations. But that is exactly the case for Paul when he fears something is very wrong with Luci and sends her for tests. She is found to have a brain aneurysm, and Paul's quick thinking literally saves her life. Now it has done so, Luci gets the go-ahead for the operation to put right the bungled nose job about which she originally contacted the doctors. Another woman consults the real professionals after she twice goes to the same Tijuana surgeon, once for a facelift that goes wrong, and then returning to ask for the botched job to be put right. Predictably, that has only made matters worse.
