Landlocked and bordering both China and Russia, Mongolia is a land of extreme habitats. From the challenging environment of the Gobi desert situated on a mounain plateau to the vast grasslands of the Mongolian Steppe, from the Altai mountains to the Taiga forest in the north of the country, this land is home to some of the hardiest and most resilient animals on the planet. The show explores the topography these distinct environments and chronicles how the wildlife has evolved and adapted so that they can either live with littel access to water or else become totally dependent on grass for their survival.
