Instead of providing in-depth examinations of the fauna of the continent of Africa, this nature series alternatively focuses on the hostile and unforgiving landscapes that the animals have to survive in. Africa is home to some of the most extreme and diverse environments on the planet, from arid deserts to lush rainforests, mountainous peaks to mighty river and lake systems, savannah grasslands to rugged coastline. This show explores these different regions and documents how the plants and creatures that inhabit them endure places where there are few resources of food and water or where competition is rife and life-threatening. The unique demands placed on these plants and animals have resulted in the development of incredibly resilient species that remain successful against all the odds. Actors: Pal Aron (2018)
