In the season premiere, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian arrive in New York City. They plan on opening their new clothing shop, DASH New York, and are hoping for its success. Newly-single Kim is looking forward to spending quality time with her older sister. Kourtney is thrilled to have her baby daddy, Scott, along for the ride as he is living in the same hotel. She considers asking him to move into her hotel suite, much to Kim's dismay. She had planned on hanging out with her sister, but it now looks like Kim may end up exploring New York City all on her own. Meanwhile, Kourtney is impressed by Scott who seems to have his life back on track, but she questions whether he really is over his bad boy ways. Now that Kim is single, she decides to mingle with eligible New Yorkers and go on a few dates. But when the media sees Kim out on innocent dates, they twist the story into something that it's not, which upsets Kim.
